"I’ve lived in Indiana my whole life, and over the years I’ve watched friends, family, and neighbors struggle through the SR-22 process without anyone willing to explain their options. As a financial services professional, I saw how many good people were judged unfairly or left confused simply because their situation didn’t fit the “perfect” customer profile. It became clear this wasn’t just a local issue; drivers across Indiana face the same challenges. SR-22 requirements can feel overwhelming, and many insurance agencies avoid high-risk cases altogether.
That’s why I started SR22 Insurance Indiana: a judgment-free online agency where Hoosiers from across the state can get simple, affordable, same-day SR-22 help. What began as a small hometown operation has grown into a statewide online agency dedicated to giving Indiana drivers a second chance—with clarity and respect."

About the Founder
Alek Copeland is a lifelong Hoosier with a deep commitment to helping people navigate difficult financial and insurance challenges with clarity and respect. Before starting Indiana Insurance Group and later founding SR22 Insurance Indiana, Alek graduated as salutatorian of North Central High School and served in the United States Marine Corps while studying Finance with Indiana State University.
Alek has spent seven years serving Indiana residents as both a loan officer (NMLS ID: 2602230) and licensed insurance professional (License ID: 3626032). Over the course of his lending career, he has personally originated more than $25 million in funded deals while earning the trust of thousands of Hoosier families seeking clear, reliable guidance.
This background in high-responsibility financial work—combined with his Marine Corps values of integrity, accountability, and service—shapes the way Alek advocates for every insurance client today.
